25 weeks!

As you may have noticed, I am doing updates every 5 weeks :)

I gained another inch around my waist and was at 125 the day before our doctor visit last week. However, I ate like crap that night and had a majorly full bladder when they weighed me at 128... I weighed myself after they had me pee in the cup and I lost a full pound... lol!

Everything is going good, we met with a different midwife this time. Her name is Shauna, and is who everyone told me to go with, but they don't let you pick and for some reason something felt off with her. She was really nice, but I didn't feel as comfortable with her as with the other Midwife, Erin, that we had met with previously. She however, is the only one at the office that knows how to run and read the "dinosaur" ultrasound machine at their office :) She learned we didn't know what the gender was so she fired it up to see if we could take a look...... and much NOT to our surprise, Baby E still doesn't want to be found out... LOL! Stephen was so disappointed and I just had to laugh.  This now makes 3 ultrasounds with no idea. At first the legs were crossed at the ankles, and then crossed at the knees, and then scrunching into a tiny ball. I think it is safe to say we will surely be having a surprise with this one :)

I have ordered about 5 books on natural birth, and am having so much fun reading them! We are planning on Stephen delivering the baby, and a friend, Breann Ackerman, is going to be my doula :) She is reading the material I have on utilizing essential oils with that, so I am SO very excited for how this goes! One of the books I have been reading is about making the birth Christ Centered. I love the teachings in it, it is very evangelical, but has a really nice spirit to it. I am working on putting my birth preferences together for all the staff to have, as well as making my positive affirmations to use during the process. This is probably going to be one of the best experiences bringing me closer to God and I am so excited!

20 weeks and counting!

I can't believe how fast time goes by, and how much changes for a little one in such a short amount of time.

We went for our regular appointment, all ready to have an ultrasound scheduled - which is the norm for this point in time... but to our dissapointment, they said they got all the information they needed from the last one and so they wouldn't do another one :( They have to have some sort of medical reason to order them because they are done at the hospital. We were the 2nd couple that they had to tell that too that day... so sad!

However, they said they would look at the pics again and see if they couldn't find a reason to order another ultrasound :) So we left the appointment with our fingers crossed they would call... and within 5 min they did. They wanted a better look at the face sutures! So they got us an appointment the next day for an ultrasound. YAY!

The kids came with us again, it was so much fun. Still again lots of moving baby.. and so very cute. We even watched it kick itself in the face lol. However we tried, the little rascal STILL wouldn't let us see who it is. This tech also said if she would guess it would be a girl, but not 100% and to not even really pay attention to the guess, because it very well could be either! I am thinking that it will be so much fun to be surprised, and will add to the spiritual environment that we will be creating at delivery, so I am ok with it....except that I want to buy stuff!

So Baby will be referred to as Baby E. Both names we have picked start with E so it works out. We both kind of still feel it is a boy, but I just want to stay neutral :) For a boy the name is Elijah Don Taylor. Both of our dad's dad's are named Don. Then if it is a girl, the name is Emma Fielding Taylor. We are super excited to know who you are!!

All in all I am doing well, I have gained 10 inches on my waist and weigh now at 124.5.  I feel really good, and to be honest, I still fit in most all my clothes! One pair of jeans is a bit snug on the buns, but I will take it!

Here are some pictures :)

This is the picture taken when we watched it kick itself he he :)

Stinky :(

Things have been going really good until 2 weeks ago when I started bleeding. I have never done that in a pregnancy even though I have been told that it can be common for a lot of women, but I didn't feel right about it. Today, my mother in law, Doris, assisted me in going to the hospital to have things checked. I cramped really hard for a while last night, after being told that everything was fine at the doctor earlier that day. Today there was no baby :(

My heart hurts, but I am one to put off crying, because for some reason I feel that it is a way of not showing faith I guess. I know Heavenly Father has purposes and a plan, so I trust Him and am afraid of showing any disbelief.

I do know though that I will be ok, Stephen is a little hard to tell just how he is taking it all. I am sure it hurts more than he will admit. Oh I love him so and am more sad for him than anything.

We plan on trying again real soon, but giving my body time to heal and gain strength.
More details are on my other blog, www.kerissataylor.com , just look in the month of December to find posts.
